April Goals

I seriously cannot believe it is April already. I feel like such an old man saying that, but it’s true. And next month I’m going to be 35?! What is happening.

Anyway! I am pretty pleased with March, and I have even bigger goals for April. Let’s dive in!

Nutrition- This will be my biggest focus this month. I did pretty good in March, but I know I can do better. Sticking in my calorie deficit is the #1 priority plus getting in my protein. I have moved my protein goal up, so I am aiming for 175-200 grams of protein a day. Plus I want to add more veggies in my day– mostly at lunch. I already eat a ton for dinner, but adding them at lunch will be a great benefit. But my brain is completely focused on nutrition this month.

Water- Today makes 75 days in a row of drinking a gallon of water! I love it and it makes me feel good, so I will continue doing it. No changes here.

Blog- Clearly blogging everyday is not something that works for me, haha. My goal is to blog at least two days a week. I know I can do that.

Workouts- I am adding in a couple of new things and also keeping things the same. I will continue to lift three days a week, but I need to increase my weights. I’ve been looking at some new ones, I just can’t decide on which ones to get. Next, I am adding a squat challenge that I will post below. Nothing crazy, just something fun to add each day and I am trying to get this booty right!!! I will also continue my core work because I can really feel a difference in my core and I want it to continue. Finally, I am upping my walking. In March I walked 32 miles… in April I want to walk 50 miles. I made a little chart (below) to fill in. Each box is 1/2 a mile. Also, you will see a smudge… I was sweaty when I filled it in and smeared it. I’m disgusting.

I also have a pair of jeans that I am determined to wear after this month. That’s the biggest goal.

I think that about wraps it up for April. And if anyone wants to join in on my challenges (squat and walking), please do. I would love it!
